Tongues of Fire Writing Workshop

Overview:

Tongues of Fire writing workshops are designed to cultivate a supportive community of writers who believe that good writing grows through dialogue, reflection, and constructive feedback. Participants will share works-in-progress, exchange insights, and engage in guided discussions that strengthen clarity, tone, and authenticity in writing. Whether you’re crafting poetry, academic essays, personal narratives, or professional pieces, this workshop creates a space for sharpening your voice through shared practice and honest conversation.

Target Audience

Writers, educators, and students at any level who want to strengthen their writing through dialogue and feedback within a supportive environment.

Workshop Goals

By the end of the workshop, participants will:

1. Learn strategies for giving and receiving actionable, compassionate feedback.
2. Identify strengths and growth areas in their writing through peer review.
3. Apply revision techniques that enhance organization, coherence, and voice.
4. Foster a community mindset that values collaboration and reflective improvement.

Submission Guidelines

Space is limited to 12  participants to ensure meaningful feedback time for everyone. Early registration is recommended. To participate fully in the feedback exchange, please submit a writing sample (up to [1,000 words or 3 double-spaced pages]) no later than three days before the workshop.

Participants are encouraged to submit a work-in-progress rather than a final piece — something that would benefit from community insight.
