Guiding Principles
Self-Actualization and Curiosity: We encourage exploration, inner work, and the audacity to imagine oneself beyond imposed boundaries. We vow to remain curious about ourselves and the world around us.
Critical Thought & Perspective: We cultivate intellectual rigor, honest analysis, and deep engagement with the world and each other. We expand our collective capacity to think critically and to consider multiple perspectives.
Personal Narrative and Archiving: We honor storytelling as a cultural inheritance and preserve our voices for future generations. We remain in control of our narratives, exercising agency and documenting our experiences in real time.
Guardianship & Mentorship: We commit to mutual care, intergenerational wisdom-sharing, and support of emerging writers. We act as guardians and mentors of Black adolescents and emerging adults with intention and integrity.
